Cassper Says He Would Be Preaching If He Wasn’t A Musician. Cassper Nyovest has never been shy about speaking about his relationship with God, and a recent conversation has offered another glimpse into how deeply his faith shapes the way he sees himself and his purpose beyond music.

When asked what he would be doing if he were not an artist or performing star, the award-winning rapper did not hesitate to point towards the pulpit, suggesting that preaching would probably be his path.

“I’d probably be preaching, you know, a man of God,” he responded.

However, Cassper used the opportunity to unpack what being a man of God actually means to him, challenging the way the phrase is often used to describe someone who is considered morally upright or clean.

According to the rapper, being a man of God should not be treated as a title reserved for people who have their lives together. He believes everyone is made by God and, in that sense, we are all men and women of God.

“I’m not saying that because I’m clean. I’m not. I’m dirty just like anybody else. The only difference is that I’ve recognised that I’m dirty and that I need God,” he explained.

His response offered a candid perspective on faith, one that does not come from claiming perfection but from acknowledging human shortcomings and recognising the need for God’s grace.

For Cassper, the distinction is not about presenting himself as someone who has everything figured out. Instead, it is about understanding his imperfections and embracing his dependence on God.

While music has given him a platform to entertain, inspire and connect with millions, his answer suggests that preaching would be a natural expression of another side of his calling if he were to step away from performing.
