Makhosazana Thwala, known as Oriiginelle, returns with Loving This Black Woman, her most intimate and expansive project yet. Following the hunger and ambition of Expensive Hunger (2024), the 14-track album dives deep into the many layers of loving a Black woman — romantically, spiritually, culturally, and personally.

Blending Alternative R&B, Neo-Soul, Alternative Rap, and jazz influences, the project also embraces Siswati more intentionally, weaving language and heritage into its sonic identity. At its core, the album explores softness, self-love, family, queerness, and the transformative power of care, offering a warm yet deeply honest reflection on Black womanhood and connection.

Featuring collaborators such as Jay Jody, Nyota Parker, FyLta, Saul Madiope, Zinia, and Lumi, with production from Nino Fresko, Soduh Beats, Saul Madiope, and S T U, the project builds on the emotional world first introduced through singles Nguwe and Always Returning.

Since her 2021 debut Phazed E.P, Oriiginelle has continued to evolve with intention and clarity. Loving This Black Woman, releasing on 30 June 2026, stands as her most refined and heartfelt body of work to date. Click Here
