Mexican-American Obed Padilla‘s upcoming EP, Rodeo Clown, is now just days away–the project is scheduled for release on May 22 via Big Family Music. Out now is the title track, “Rodeo Clown”.
The charming indie pop track is filled with creamy melodies and glossy vocals; it is so cathcy. Lyrically, the song encapsulates the theme of the EP, which details the various stages of the post-breakup process.
“I dealt with a lot of grief the last couple years and to my surprise, healing wasn’t linear. I believe there are 6 stages and the 6th stage is feeling like the rodeo clown for being the last one at the party still dealing with things everyone already moved on from. The star of the show and the butt of the joke,” explains Obed.
“Rodeo Clown” has an amazing accompnying music video directed by Brok Wood. Overall, this is a really enjoyable release.
So, as watch the visuals, remember to follow Obed Padilla on Instagram for the EP release updates.
